According to one of the film's stars, Dwayne Johnson, Hobbs and Shawhas officially wrapped production.

Johnson announced the production wrapping with a post on Instagram, saying, "That’s a 100% official wrap on production for the beast known as HOBBS & SHAW." He goes on to thanks all the cast and crew that worked on the film as well as all the fans. In the image he posted, Johnson is on a motorcycle from his own private collection.

Johnson previously shared a wrap video in mid-February, after initial filming was complete, but it's likely the film had to do a few re-shoots and some additional photography.

Hobbs and Shaw is a spin-off of the Fast and Furious film series. It follows Luke Hobbs (Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) as they go up against the villainous Brixton (Idris Elba). Fans of the series also have Fast and Furious 9 to look forward to in 2020.

Always busy, Dwayne Johnson will also be appearing in the upcoming film, Jumanji 3, which has also wrapped production.

Directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2) from a script by longtime Fast and the Furious narrative architect Chris Morgan, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba and Vanessa Kirby. The film arrives on Aug. 2.
