Hobbs & Shaw Adds WWE's Roman Reigns as The Rock's Brother

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns is joining his cousin, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, in Hobbs & Shaw. Johnson revealed Reigns will be playing his brother in the Fast & Furious spinoff.

"The brothers’ roar. A lil’ HOBBS & SHAW exclusive," Johnson shared in an Instagram post. "Good times droppin’ sweat and spillin’ blood with my family, @RomanReignswho’ll be playing my brother in our FAST & FURIOUS UNIVERSE."

"I’m very proud of his focus, effort and authentic performance in our movie for his very first time on film," he added. "I’m also very grateful to spend this quality time with my cousin here in the islands as he takes life one day at a time to recover from leukemia. Reigns, whose real name is Leati Joseph "Joe" Anoaʻi, relinquished the WWE Universal Title on October 22 after revealing his leukemia had returned, which Johnson references in his post.

Directed by David Leitch from a script by Chris Morgan, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby and Eiza Gonzalez. It is scheduled to be released on August 2.
