Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl will soon find themselves at odds this summer in an upcoming crossover event: Kick-Ass Vs Hit Girl.

Dave Da Silva of Un Comic Mas revealed the event on Twitter, with cover art from the first issue by Matteo Scalera. The accompanying description added simply that the comic would see "Patience vs Mindy! Two heroines with similar lethal skills." De Silva also named writer Steve Niles and artist Marcelo Frusin, the talent behind the Kick-Ass series, as the creative team.

Mindy McCready, aka Hit-Girl, was trained by her father Damon to be a lethal vigilante. The pair carved out a bloody reputation for themselves and ultimately ran into Dave Lizewski, the original Kick-Ass. After Damon's death, Mindy took Dave under her wing to teach him about vigilantism and in turn, he taught her how to act like a normal kid. After being arrested, and then breaking herself out of jail, Mindy departed America to bring justice to criminals across the globe.

The new Kick-Ass is Patience Lee, a veteran from Afghanistan who returned from duty only to find herself neck deep in debt. Donning the Kick-Ass costume, she stole from the gangsters in her local neighborhood, which led to a bloody confrontation. Although Patience and Mindy have never met, one can assume that the confrontation between them will be extremely and inventively violent. Both Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl were co-created by Mark Millar, who also worked on projects such as The Magic Order.

Kick-Ass Vs Hit-Girl #1 will go on sale this summer.
