Beyond its reputation for cosmic adventures and a New York City filled to capacity with costumed heroes and villains, Marvel Comics is known for its self-deprecating sense of humor. So it should come as little surprise that the publisher is enlisting an A-list roster of creators to parody its current mega-event, "Secret Wars."

Announced this morning on ComicBook.com, the one-shot features work by "Secret Wars" writer Jonathan Hickman, Sergio Aragones, Al Ewing, Rob Guillory, Declan Shalvey and more.

"After the multiverse-destroying intensity of Secret Wars, we figured it might do everyone some good to blow off a little steam before we say goodbye to Battleworld," editor Wil Moss told ComicBook.com. "Jon Moisan and I have assembled only those with the funniest of funny bones to bring you the follow-up that you hadn't even had time yet to realize you desperately crave!"

The book, which features a cover by Chip Zdarsky, arrives in November.

THE BEYONDERS TRY THEIR (SCARY, EXTRA-DIMENSIONAL) HAND AT MARKETING:

• We are Beyond. Dreamers. Destroyers. All of reality our whim. And frankly... we get bored.

• These tales from across the multifarious domains of Battleworld - not of heroism or consequence, but of humor - provide a brief respite from millennia of omnipotence.

• We cannot be comprehended by the miniscule human mind. Turn your attention to this book instead of trying.

• You are welcome.
