‘Heroes Reborn’ Premiere Extended To Two Hours

Good news for fans eager to dive back into the world of “Heroes” following the series’ 2010 end: the premiere of “Heroes Reborn” has been lengthened to two hours. The premiere episode of the sequel miniseries will now run twice as long when it airs on Thursday, September 24, as revealed on the show’s Twitter feed.

The two-hour premiere will kick-off “Heroes Reborn,” a 13-episode miniseries event that brings back original series actors like Masi Oka, Jack Coleman, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Cristine Rose and more. New characters played by Zachary Levi, Ryan Guzman, Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Kiki Sukezane, Henry Zebrowski and Gatlin Green will round out the cast.

The official synopsis says that “Heroes Reborn” will “reconnect with the basic elements of the show’s first season, where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities.” The miniseries’ two-hour premiere airs on Thursday, September 24.
