Over the past few years, shared cinematic universes have almost become the norm when it comes to genre films. Warner Bros. has started their own DC shared movie-verse with films like "Man of Steel," "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad" all arriving in the past few years. One has to wonder how movie studios can heighten from the already massive scope of these franchises. Perhaps one way to up the ante would be to make a franchise out of...multiple franchises.
The stryder HD YouTube channel has imagined what that could look like as Warner Bros.' shared superhero universe comes face to mask with another set of iconic characters: Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees. By mashing up footage from "Batman v Superman" with clips from the various "Halloween," "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Friday the 13th" films, the fanmade trailer pits hero against slasher for a truly hellacious experience. And, in keeping with tradition, there are even a few surprise appearances from other franchise stars at the tail end of this trailer.
