Tom Holland behind the scenes of Spider-Man: Homecoming

Tom Holland has been roping our hearts in webbing since his debut as Peter Parker last year in Captain America: Civil War. Whether he's visiting a children's hospital, nailing a lip-sync battle impersonating Rihanna or taking down bad guys on-screen, he embodies the "friendly" part of everyone's Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

His earnestness is captured perfectly in a new video for Spider-Man: Homecoming in which the 21-year-old actor discusses the stunt he most enjoyed performing for the film. Holland had to run up a steel beam and look over the edge. Providing further evidence may be a real-life wall-crawler Holland put his gymnastics background to good use when he asked the stunt coordinator whether he could take the stunt a literal step further and fling himself off the the end.

As the video shows, Holland was granted his request, and executed the stunt with panache.

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Arriving in theaters July 7, director Jon Watts' Spider-Man: Homecoming also stars Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.
