Another god is reportedly set to join Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as there are talks that Hercules will debut in a future project.

According to The Cinema Spot, it is unclear if Hercules will headline his own solo project or appear in a guest-star capacity. However, with Marvel's Phase 5 slate of films and television programs officially confirmed, there are a number of different places for Hercules to make his presence felt.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Hercules first appeared in 1965's Journey into Mystery Annual #1 and is based on the Greek god Heracles. However, in the Marvel Universe Hercules is a member of the Olympian gods and represents the God of Strength. He has been affiliated with the Avengers, Champions, Defenders and Heroes for Hire. One of his most popular runs in the comics came from his friendship with Amadeus Cho.

Hercules and the rest of the Olympian gods recently got a makeover at the conclusion of the Avengers: No Road Home weekly event. The group would go on to be the antagonists in Al Ewing and Juann Cabal's relaunch of Guardians of the Galaxy.

There are a number of places Hercules could debut on the big screen. He could continue his long-standing rivalry with the God of Thunder in Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 or share another drink with the Master of the Mystic Arts in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. There is also the possibility Hercules lands on Disney+ in Loki, She-Hulk or WandaVision.
