According to the official character description, "Winslow Schott, Sr. is a classic D.C. supervillain, a mad criminal genius known as Toyman -- and Winn's estranged father. Toyman weaponizes toys to wreak destruction and revenge but is ultimately driven by one thing -- the obsessive desire to reunite with his beloved son."
In the show, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is close friends with Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan). Many speculated Winn would become Toyman based on his name, but it seems as though "Supergirl" has different plans for the character.
Czerny's past credits also include "Revenge" and the 2010 reboot of "The A-Team." He is only booked for one appearance at this time.
The show centers on Kara Zor-El (Benoist), a Kryptonian stranded on Earth following the destruction of her home planet Krypton. Assuming the name Kara Danvers, she decides to come out of hiding at the age of 24 and really use her super abilities for good.
"Supergirl" arrives on CBS on October 26 at 8:30 p.m. EST. Developed by producers Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg, the series stars Benoist, Calista Flockhart, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh.
