Henry Cavill has long worn his video game fandom on his sleeve. He's admitted to playing The Witcher in his spare time, and claims that he nearly missed out on the role of Superman because he was engaged in a World of Warcraft campaign. One game studio decided to pay homage to him in their own way.

Creative Assembly recently released new DLC content for Total War: Warhammer 2, titled "The Warden and the Paunch." Players will encounter a High Elf Loremaster simply named Cavill, an homage to the Man of Steel actor.

"When I saw a certain Mr. Cavill mentioned that he enjoys nothing more than firing up Total War: Warhammer or painting a few models in his spare time, I thought it would be fun to somehow inject him into the game, like we have with a number of developers over the years."  game director Richard Aldridge told PCGamesN.

Another homage comes in the form of the Loremaster's skill "White Wolf." White Wolf grants a +15 bonus vs. large enemies and also grants a potion of toughness ability. It's fairly clear that this is a nod to Cavill's role as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher.
