Revered actor Henry Cavill surprised employees at Warhammer World with a wholesome visit, stopping to take several adorable pictures. While it's currently unknown why Cavill was visiting the headquarters of Warhammer publisher and developer Games Workshop, this hasn't stopped fans from appreciating the many photos posted by employees. "Today was an amazingly unexpected day! After finishing work I bumped into #HenryCavill! In four years working for Black Library I have never thought this would one day happen! Epic!" wrote one elated worker while another commented that Cavill is an "amazing herald" for the Warhammer community. Related: Daredevil's Original Showrunner Would Like to Film a Superman Movie - Starring Henry Cavill

While undoubtedly a pleasant surprise for many of the employees at Warhammer World, Cavill's visit makes sense. The actor has publically spoken about his love for the tabletop war game on several occasions. The Witcher star was recently prompted to explain the hobby by talk show host Graham Norton. "You have to paint them. But it's just about how much effort you put into it," said Cavill. "There's the painting [and] modeling side of the hobby and there's the gaming side of the hobby... you put them together in little armies and you fight against someone else's army. It is fun. I mean it sounds ridiculous, but it is fun." The actor is such a fan of the tabletop game that Total War: Warhammer 2 even includes an NPC named in his honor.

While Cavill's impromptu visit was possibly just an excuse to pick up more paint for his collection of figures, some fans speculate that it may have been a business trip. The actor has previously stated that he'd love to work with Games Workshop and appear in some kind of Warhammer adaptation. Despite his interest, the game's publisher has yet to announce any kind of project, although Magic: The Gathering will soon open its doors to a Warhammer 40K collaboration through a limited-edition set.

Warhammer isn't the only universe Cavill would love to adapt. The actor has also mentioned the possibility of appearing in Amazon's planned Mass Effect series. "The world of adaptation can be heavy or light. When I like a product, I prefer the adaptation to be less changed from the source, so it all depends," said Cavill. "I think it's found a home, hasn't it? If [the Mass Effect series] finds a home, I would love to have a conversation."
