Last we saw of Henry Cavill's Superman, he had returned to Metropolis and was ready to become the savior he was always meant to be at the end of Justice League. However, with no sequel to either the superhero ensemble film or Man of Steel planned and an entire shakeup of the DC Extended Universe movie slate, it was unclear when, and if, we would ever see Cavill's Superman again. But now, it appears there is a bit of hope.

Earlier today, Henry Cavill shared an Instagram video of himself hitting the gym hard. But what was most curious was the caption that accompanied the video. "Working on the Super Buns!" the actor wrote, "Whiiiiiiich if you vote for me in the Teen Choice Awards (link in bio) and I end up winning then you may or may not see them in a tight blue outfit much sooner!"

A few days ago, Cavill was nominated for a Teen Choice Action Movie Actor award for his role in Justice League. According to the actor, a win could signal an interest in the character, something that could lead to another appearance in the DCEU. If anything, he does appear to know more than he's letting on.

Fans who follow Cavill's Instagram account know that the actor has been bulking up in the gym for a while now, which might point at Superman's immediate return to the big screen. The fact that he also says he is working on his "Super Buns" also seems to be a not-so-subtle hint at what he is preparing for. For all we know, Cavill's Superman could appear in any upcoming DCEU movie in a cameo capacity.
