The future of the so-called DC Extended Universe seems forever in flux, as Warner Bros. has strayed from Zack Snyder's original five-movie plan and has lined up an ambitious slate that ranges from Birds of Prey to multiple Joker projects. But no plans have been announced for a sequel to the film that launched the DCEU, 2013's Man of Steel.
Fans have long wondered about another solo outing for Henry Cavill's Superman, and now the actor has provided a vague, if not entirely serious, update.
I asked Henry Cavill when we’ll see another Superman movie: “I can say this... it is highly likely we will see another Superman movie somewhere between 2019 and 2045.”

Superman is all about hope, and Cavill is giving fans some hope about a Man of Steel sequel. When asked by Fandango's Erik Davis, Cavill said it's "highly likely" there will be another Superman movie. While that's good news for fans, there remains a question of when it will happen.
"We will see another Superman movie somewhere between 2019 and 2045," Cavill added.
If there are plans for a Man of Steel sequel, Cavill obviously can't spill the beans before it's officially announced. As for when Cavill's version of the Last Son of Krypton could appear again on the big screen, it has been heavily rumored that Superman could make an appearance in Shazam!
