While many questioned the direction Henry Cavill's Superman was taken in the DC Extended Universe, one thing fans weren't contentious about was his physique. Cavill was the most muscular Superman we've ever had in a live-action adaptation to date.
Despite the uncertainty over his future as the iconic hero, that hasn't stopped him from getting even bigger and buffer than the Kryptonian. Today, Cavill posted a picture to Instagram indicating his workout regime is still in super-mode.
Standing next a statue of his DCEU character at Budapest's Flex Gym, Cavill took the picture while preparing for his starring role as Geralt in Netflix's The Witcher. Cavill's clearly way bigger than Superman, reminding us that he's not skipping any gym days.
His physique first impressed us in 2013's Man of Steel and we'd see him reprising the role in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as in the ill-fated Justice League.
With Ben Affleck out of Matt Reeves' The Batman solo outing, fans are now eagerly awaiting news on Cavill's future as Kal-El of Krypton, since past rumors have suggested Warner Bros. is ready to move past him as its modern Superman. Between a photo like this and the fact Justice League ended with a more lighthearted and heroic Superman, the studio might want to think twice.
