"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" had a massive opening weekend, bringing in $166.1 million domestically and securing the seventh biggest opening weekend of all time. Following that success, two of the film's stars -- Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot -- have thanked fans for their support via social media. Cavill posted his thanks to Facebook, while Gadot shared hers on Instagram.

As Gadot mentions, she is currently in the middle of filming her solo "Wonder Woman" film. The production recently wrapped the London portion of filming and has moved on to Italy to shoot scenes set in Themyscira. "Wonder Woman," directed by Patty Jenkins, opens on June 23, 2017.

"Batman v Superman" is in theaters now.
