An official banner for the 2019 Hellboy reboot has popped up in Los Angeles featuring a look at The Blood Queen.

Milla Jovovich, the actor who will portray the film's villain, posted the banner on her Instagram account. She states that the ad is on Wilshire Boulevard, which runs from downtown LA, through Beverly Hills, and to Santa Monica. It provides something of a first look at the character she will be playing.

The banner features art by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, who provided a simple rendering of the titular hero and the villain he will face. The Blood Queen, also known as Nimue and the Lady of the Lake from Arthurian Legend, is a major villain in the Hellboy series. In the comics, she is responsible for Hellboy's demise and further adventures in Hell.

Created in 1993, Hellboy has been exclusively published by Dark Horse Comics for 25 years. The franchise has produced hundreds of Hellboy comics, as well as multiple spinoff series featuring Abe Sapien, the B.P.R.D., Lobster Johnson, and many others.

Debuting in theaters on Jan. 1, Hellboy is directed by Neil Marshall and stars David Harbour as Hellboy, Ian McShane as Trevor Bruttenholm, Milla Jovovich as Nimue, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, Penelope Mitchell as Ganeida and Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimio.
