The upcoming Hellboy movie reboot recently cast Hawaii 5-0 and Lost alum Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimio after a whitewashing controversy wherein Deadpool actor Ed Skrein was originally set for the role. With the controversy in the rear view window, Lionsgate is hard at work on the film's production, and Kim has shown off his skills as Ben in a brief video featuring stunt actors. If the video makes one thing clear, it's that Kim will certainly hold his own against those demons.

Kim is certainly no stranger to working with swords and guns. In between Lost and 5-0, he played gangster Johnny Gat in the cartoonishly violent Saints Row video game franchise, in which he used swords and guns often. The scene he's practicing for in the video above is clearly action-intensive and will likely have him up against the minions of the film's Blood Queen.

Directed by Neill Marshall, Hellboy also stars David Harbour as the titular Hellboy, Milla Jovovich as Nimue the Blood Queen, Ian McShane as Trevor Bruttenholm and Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan. The film currently has no release date.
