Masters of the Universe: Revelation has enlisted Bear McCreary to compose its score.

Filmmaker Kevin Smith broke the news via Netflix's NX Twitter account, who dubbed McCreary a "metal maestro" and listed the other shows he worked on including Battlestar Galactica and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Smith also revealed that McCreary sent him the first pass at the transformation cue for when Prince Adam holds his Sword of Power aloft and transforms into He-Man. The audio cue also features Christopher Wood (Supergirl) reciting He-Man's iconic phrase: "By the power of Greyskull -- I HAVE THE POWER!"

Smith enthusiastically embraced the cue, re-enacting a battle between He-Man and his archenemy Skeletor, even engaging in a head-banging session with McCreary, who also appeared in the video. "Oh, that rocks!" Smith exclaimed. The video ended with Smith revealing that Masters of the Universe: Revelation will debut sometime in 2021 on Netflix.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation will pick up where the original 1987 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series ended and feature He-Man's ally Teela searching for the Sword of Power. Smith acts as showrunner for the series, with Powerhouse Animation (Castlevania, Blood of Zeus) handling animation duties. Smith revealed in July that voice work on the series had been completed.

A radical return to Eternia, Revelation is a direct sequel series to the classic era of Masters of the Universe.
