HBO's Watchmen Prepares for War in Final Trailer

The cast of HBO's Watchmen series prepares for war in a new trailer.

The trailer begins with Regina King's mysterious character gearing up to dispense some justice. Next, she appears in a car where a woman is explaining how she is obsessed with justice. King and Don Johnson then begin to discuss how she has captured a man, who is presently being held in her trunk. Johnson then responds, "Put him in the pod."

The remaining parts of the trailer provide a tease of what we can expect when the adaptation of the popular Watchmen comic makes its way to the premium network. The full synopsis for Watchmen can be found below:

Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, this drama series from executive producer Damon Lindelof embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name while attempting to break new ground of its own. The cast includes: Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Jean Smart, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Hong Chau, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, and James Wolk.

Developed by Damon Lindelof, HBO's Watchmen stars Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, James Wolk, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith and Adelynn Spoon. The series will premiere Oct. 20.
