New photos and the official synopsis for Episode 5 of HBO's The Nevers have been released.

Episode 4, "Undertaking," saw tensions growing between Amalia True and Penance Adair in the aftermath of Mary's funeral. In Episode 5, "Hanged," the threat of another killing might just set these two close friends on the path of becoming enemies, and the rest of The Touched will have to take sides. The questions raised by Amalia's reaction to Mary's song promise further complications. Written by Melissa Iqbal and directed by Joss Whedon, "Hanged" will debut on Sunday, May 9 at 9 p.m. ET.
