During the Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment panel at Comic-Con International earlier this month, it was revealed that Hawkman will make an appearance on "Legends of Tomorrow." His inclusion makes sense, as Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) will be a regular cast member on the "Flash"/"Arrow" spinoff series when it debuts midseason on the CW. But Hawkman fans might not have to wait until 2016 to see the high-flying Hawkman on the small screen, according to what Entertainment Weekly has heard.

An unnamed source has informed EW that the Carter Hall iteration of Hawkman will appear on "The Flash" and "Arrow" ahead of his inclusion on "Legends of Tomorrow." The write-up describes the character as "charismatic and wise beyond his years" and also states that Hawkman retains the knowledge of his past lives, giving this natural-born leader a cumulative 5,000 years of experience to draw from. While it's not yet known if the CW's versions of Hawkman and Hawkgirl will be reincarnated lovers, the write-up does mention that "Kendra Saunders will have no idea who he is" after being born anew.

Hawkman appearing on one of "Legends'" parent series fits in with what we know so far about the upcoming TV season. It's been confirmed that White Canary will return from the dead on "Arrow" before joining the "Legends" cast, and Ciara Renee told Comic Book Resources she believes that Hawkgirl will appear on another show this fall.

"Yes. I think that's kind of the plan," said Renee regarding Hawkgirl's television trajectory. "There's definitely going to be some introductions to some of the characters that you don't know that well, so that by the time we get to January, you're not just like swarmed with all this information about this team. So I think definitely -- I'll be on 'The Flash,' for sure."

"The Flash" and "Arrow" return to the CW on October 6 and 7, respectively.
