'Hawkman' #28 introduces new creative team of Palmiotti & Gray and Sook & M. Gray

Official Press Release

This May, HAWKMAN takes off in a new flight pattern under the guidance of the new, regular creative team of writers Jimmy Palmiotti & Justin Gray (THE MONOLITH), artists Ryan Sook (ARKHAM ASYLYUM: LIVING HELL) & Mick Gray (PROMETHEA), and cover artists Greg Land (Sojourn) & Jay Leisten!

"This assignment combines a couple of things I've been working toward: straightforward super-heroics and gritty crime," says Sook. "Those are two things that I haven't had a chance to do in comics yet. I'm looking forward to jumping on and doing the best I can with it."

"Justin and I are really looking forward to this series," says Palmiotti. "We both are huge fans of what Geoff Johns and his crew did with the character and are flattered to have a chance to step up to the plate and give it a shot. It really helps having super-talent like Ryan Sook, Mick Gray and John Kalisz on our team as well. We have plenty in store for this series! It's all very exciting!"

"Mace? Check! Nth metal? Check! Wings? Check! Ready to rain down justice from above? Hell, yeah!" says Gray.

This dynamic team begins their run with "Fate's Warning," a 4-issue story arc that exposes both the darkest corners of St. Roch and the troubled mind of a hero! It's the start of what's sure to be one of Hawkman's most memorable adventures, and a great jumping-on point for new readers!

HAWKMAN #28 is solicited in the March issue of Previews (Volume XIV, #3) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on May 19 with a cover price of $2.50 U.S.
