The first two episodes of Hawkeye were packed full of Easter eggs, but fans likely missed a major one.The Disney+ series dropped a new featurette on Twitter highlighting the live-action roleplaying sequence in Episode 2, "Hide and Seek." While viewers were likely distracted by all the sword fighting, they probably didn't catch an archer amongst the Vikings and samurai. But once you spot them, it's clear their costume is based on Hawkeye's classic look from the comics, complete with the big "H" on the helmet.RELATED: Every MCU & Marvel Comics Reference in Hawkeye's First Two Episodes

The classic Hawkeye cosplayer can be seen in the opening seconds of the new promo and pops up throughout the short look at the sequence, in between Jeremy Renner and Grills actor Clayton English talking about the sequence that pits them against one another for the fate of the Ronin suit. It's one of many Hawkeye Easter eggs that audiences were treated two in the two-part premiere of the new Marvel show.

Ever since Hawkeye made his big debut in 2012's The Avengers -- after a brief appearance in Thor -- fans have wondered if Renner would ever don a version of the classic but often mocked costume. That film instead drew inspiration from the more sleek and tactical look Clint Barton sported in the Ultimate line of comics. But over the years, Hawkeye's MCU costumes have gained more and more purple, and Avengers: Age of Ultron even incorporated a cloak of sorts.

Hawkeye will see Clint put on his most comic-accurate costume yet, but it will draw more from the archer's modern look. While characters like Captain America have reverted to their classic costumes, complete with swashbuckling boots and big letters on their foreheads, Hawkeye has remained in his modern duds.

Despite the often more grounded approach to costumes in the MCU, the films and TV shows have still found ways to call back to the comics. WandaVision found a clever way to get Scarlet Witch and Vision into Halloween versions of their classic outfits, while Captain America's original USO suit looked ripped from the pages. And though it's no longer canon, Luke Cage also nodded to its leads '7os look in a flashback scene during Season 1.
