Leaked images from the finale of Marvel Studios and Disney+'s Hawkeye feature Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin.

The first photo sees Fisk sporting his bold white suit while glaring off into the distance, while the other is a blurred action shot from what looks like the inside of a toy store.

Kingpin made his long-rumored Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Episode 5 of Hawkeye by way of a grainy cellphone picture when it was revealed that Kate Bishop's mother was under his employment. D'Onofrio first played the character in Season 1 of Netflix's Daredevil and was one of the highlights of the series across its three seasons. However, in 2018, Daredevil was canceled, and its characters were off-limits to Marvel Studios for the next two years since they belonged to the now-defunct Marvel Television.

"I do take it as a compliment. I so badly want to play that character again," D'Onofrio said shortly after the rumors began to swirl that he'd reprise his role in Hawkeye. "I love that character. I just have to wait for Marvel to ask me. I think it's very clear that I would, and the fans know that I would jump at the chance to play again. I just need to be asked." Those rumors were spawned by Kingpin's comic book counterpart, who's the adoptive father of Maya Lopez/Echo -- another character who made her MCU debut in Hawkeye.

"There was never any kind of requirement or need to meld Daredevil and Hawkeye in any way," co-director Katie Ellwood recently explained.

"So when Kingpin comes in, he's massive, you know? He's huge. As the story goes, he's later in a more difficult place, but he comes in as his big self, with his big hands," co-director Amber Templemore-Finlayson added. "In that picture [at the end of "Ronin"], you see him in his iconic suit. So how to shoot him came from where the character is, rather than us trying to match our universe to anything in the past."

The series finale of Hawkeye arrives on Disney+ Dec. 22.
