WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, and What If...? have all had something to offer to longtime fans of the MCU. Christmas 2021 will see Hawkeye finally joining the lineup. The trailer has already shown Clint Barton teaming up with his protege Kate Bishop, and the combination is quite explosive – sometimes, literally. The Disney+ shows have given fans many instances of such teamwork, some better than others.

10 Kate Bishop And Hawkeye Join Forces While Fighting The Ghosts Of Hawkeye's Past

Clint Kate Hawkeye

Christmas is no fairytale for superheroes. In the upcoming series, Hawkeye, Clint Barton looks forward to spending the holidays with his family, recently resurrected after the Blip. The past comes back to haunt him when he learns someone may have taken up the mantle of Ronin. During the five years after the Snap, Barton used this identity to hunt the people he deemed unworthy of having survived. Knowing he has to investigate, Clint is once again forced to leave his family.

He soon finds the newest masked vigilante is young Kate Bishop. Together, the two have to take on the ghosts of Hawkeye's past. Most of the show's plot still remains unclear, but the duo will likely clash with Yelena Belova, Natasha Romanov's adoptive sister. The imminent conflict was teased in Black Widow's post-credits scene, where Valentina Allegra de Fontaine approached Yelena and tasked her with taking out Clint – the man responsible for her sister's death. Marvel loves to throw surprises at audiences, so other villains are also bound to show up.

9 Wanda And Vision Overcome Their Differences To Defeat Agatha And White Vision

Wanda Maximoff And Vision smile at each other before a kiss in WandaVision

WandaVision is a show full of conflict and lies. In an outburst of chaos magic, Wanda Maximoff manages to recreate a version of her lover Vision, at the same time engulfing the town of Westview in a reality-distorting anomaly later called the Hex. The two have a happy family and cooperate to raise their often troublesome twins. But once Vision realizes the truth, he and Wanda fight.

The conflict within the couple becomes irrelevant when Wanda has to face Agatha Harkness and White Vision targets both Hex Vision and Wanda. White Vision comes very close to killing Wanda, but it is Vision who saves her. He confronts his older, reborn self, while Wanda fights Agatha.

As the acting director of SWORD, Tyler Hayward is responsible for Project Cataract, the scheme that involved reanimating and weaponizing the deceased Vision. He finally succeeds to do this through Wanda's own chaos magic, scavenged off a destroyed SHIELD drone. Darcy Lewis, Jimmy Woo, and Monica Rambeau team up to foil his plans.

When Hayward is determined to get rid of Wanda, the three try to dissuade him, only to be thrown off the facility. Woo and Rambeau take out the guards, and Darcy hacks into the systems, discovering Project Cataract. Monica ventures into the Hex to reach out to Wanda, at great cost to herself. Monica even stops Tyler from shooting Wanda's children, while Darcy runs into his Humvee with her food truck, keeping him from escaping. Finally, Jimmy brings reinforcements from the FBI to permanently take Hayward into custody.

7 Agent Mobius Becomes Variant Loki's Unlikely Friend

Loki and Mobius meeting at the TVA

When 2012 Loki flees New York using the Tesseract, he doesn't expect to get caught by the Time Variance Authority. He certainly doesn't expect almost being pruned, and being rescued by Agent Mobius M. Mobius at the last moment. But that is exactly what happens, as Mobius recruits Variant Loki to pursue a different, even more dangerous version of himself.

Over the course of the series, the two strike an unlikely friendship. Mobius helps Loki grow a lot as a person and even risks his own life to support him in his fight against the TVA. Tragically, the finale of the series has Loki face a Mobius who doesn't know him, but perhaps the two friends will still be reunited in season two.

6 Loki And Sylvie's Team Up Creates A Nexus Event

Loki and Sylvie stand together during the apocalypse

During his work with Mobius, Loki manages to catch up with his alternate self, Sylvie. The two end up together in the middle of an apocalyptic event on Lamentis, and gradually, they get closer. The growing affection between them even creates a nexus event that forces the TVA to intervene. The two ultimately team up to take down the TVA. Together, they blend their magic and enchant the monster Alioth, which allows them to reach the Citadel at the End of Time. Their partnership dissolves when they disagree on how to handle He Who Remains.

From the very beginning, the TVA Minute-Men make it clear that they have pruned countless variants of Loki, who is by his nature chaotic and unpredictable. This comes with an unexpected side-effect, as pruned variants are sent to the Void.

When 2012 Loki is pruned, he meets with a group of versions of himself – including Kid Loki, Classic Loki, Alligator Loki, and Boastful Loki. Boastful Loki betrays them to President Loki, but Kid Loki gives Variant Loki his sword. Meanwhile, Classic Loki sacrifices himself to give Variant Loki and Sylvie the chance they need to enchant Alioth.

Unstable after having taken the Super Soldier serum, John Walker brutally kills one of the Flag Smashers with Captain America's shield, even if he wasn't the one to actually hurt Lemar.
