WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Hawkeye Episode 5, "Ronin," which aired Wednesday on Disney+.

The sixth and final episode of Hawkeye Season 1 will reportedly run for 59 minutes, longer than any episode of a Marvel Disney+ series so far.

The report comes from Amit Chaudhari, an artist and industry insider who regularly shares early reports on various films and streaming shows. Chaudhari has posted on Twitter on a near-weekly basis for the past month to report the runtimes for each episode of Hawkeye ahead of its release. Ahead of the Disney+ series' sixth and final episode, Chaudhari wrote that the Hawkeye finale will run for nearly an hour, and confirmed "And yes, this'll be the longest episode among all the Disney+ MCU shows thus far."

The first five episodes of Hawkeye ran roughly between 40 and 50 minutes each, with a few exceptions. The longest episode thus far has been Episode 2, "Hide and Seek," which ran for around 52 minutes. A 59-minute season finale would mark a significant increase in runtime from previous episodes, especially the recent Episode 5, "Ronin," which ran for 45 minutes, including credits.

An hour-long Hawkeye finale would also mark the longest episode of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's streaming saga, longer than any chapter of WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki or What If...?. However, a lengthier episode would make sense to conclude the story of Hawkeye, considering the series just reintroduced a major Marvel antagonist into the MCU: Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.

At the end of Hawkeye's penultimate episode, Kingpin was revealed in a photograph sent to Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop by Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova. Curious to discover who hired her to kill Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), Yelena discovered her contract was actually with Kate's mother, Eleanor Bishop (Vera Farmiga). Yelena snaps a picture of Eleanor as she meets with Fisk, the crime boss whom Clint has been worried about for most of the series.

D'Onofrio first appeared as Kingpin in the Netflix series Daredevil, and he continued to play the role across the show's three seasons between 2015 and 2018. Fans began to speculate that character would return in Hawkeye after Marvel confirmed the involvement of Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez/Echo, Fisk's adoptive daughter in the comics. The rumors accelerated when D'Onofrio routinely trolled fans on Twitter teasing his involvement, and again when Maya was revealed to have a mysterious "Uncle" figure in Episode 3, "Echoes."

Marvel recently released a brief trailer for the Hawkeye finale which alluded to more footage of Kingpin before the season's end. The trailer also promised the continuing story arcs of Maya Lopez and Yelena Belova, as well as more holiday-themed archery action from the series' two Hawkeyes.

The sixth and final episode of Hawkeye premieres Dec. 23 on Disney+.
