In the Disney+ series Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner will be donning a new purple costume reminiscent of the hero's comic book appearances. In Hawkeye, Clint Barton's past comes back to haunt him when a mysterious masked vigilante appears in New York City. Recognizing the clear connections between the vigilante's attire and the unique look he once wore while operating as Ronin, Clint gets wrapped up in a new adventure that may prevent him from getting back to his family for Christmas. A new promo for the series features narration from Renner's Hawkeye that says "The past has caught up with me" while highlighting the streamlined and stripped-down costume that he will be wearing in NYC, which may look familiar to fans of Clint's comic book adventures.RELATED: Hawkeye Clip Takes a Shot at Hunger Games

The promo shows him wearing a long-sleeve t-shirt with purple sleeves and a pair of black pants. This minimalist look is reminiscent of the attire worn by the character in Matt Fraction, David Aja and Annie Wu's Hawkeye run. Their tenure on Hawkeye has had a strong influence on the Disney+ series, with multiple posters and plotlines seemingly ripped from the pages of the comics.

Their Hawkeye also famously saw the Avenging archer ditch his trademark purple pointed mask for an outfit more in line with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's original Avengers film, which had Clint wearing tactical gear while working for S.H.I.E.L.D. Now, Hawkeye's new look brings his fashion journey full-circle, as the movies have effectively influenced the comics that have influenced the television shows, forming a unique aesthetic synergy for the character.

Joining Clint in Hawkeye will be MCU newcomer Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. The aspiring archer will be influenced by Clint's actions as an Avenger, donning her own version of the Hawkeye costume while teaming up with her newfound mentor. The two characters will be brought together by the traumas of their pasts, forming an emotionally intimate relationship in the process. Speaking on their dynamic, Renner previously said "It's managing losses, its the superhero game, and the lightness and brightness that Hailee's character brings in, it kinda counteracts that and comes in and kinda get it to level out some. So, it's pretty cathartic, and I think quite beautiful."

Hawkeye and Hawkeye, along with their pizza-loving dog, Lucky, will be facing off with a wide variety of villains in their quest to clean-up Clint's past. Hawkeye will feature the Clown and the Tracksuit Draculas, some of the antagonists from Fraction, Aja and Wu's run on the character. Additionally, the show will introduce Kate's mom Eleonor, played by Vera Farmiga, who could prove to be a threat to the team if she decides to follow her comic book counterpart's villainous ways.

Hawkeye will debut with a two-episode season premiere on Nov. 24, exclusively on Disney+.
