Though the Hawkeye series does not yet have a release date on Disney+, fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Kate Bishop to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And concept artist Andy Park has only whetted that appetite with his latest post.Park shared a hi-res piece of concept art on Twitter that puts Kate front and center. Kate is wearing an outfit extremely similar to her current comics ensemble as well as her trademark violet shades. The design also bears a resemblance to actor Hailee Steinfeld, who has long been rumored for the role.
"I hear some people are having MCU withdrawals. I feel ya. Waiting is tough I know!" Park wrote. "Hereâs a little something- a concept design illustration I did for the upcoming Hawkeye @disneyplus show." Park also notes that the concept art first appeared on the "Expanding the Universe" featurette on Disney+, which covered the streaming service's upcoming slate of Marvel Studios shows.
Hawkeye will focus on Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), as he trains Kate Bishop to take up his mantle as Hawkeye. The concept art and series pitch has drawn inspiration from the acclaimed Hawkeye comic series by Matt Fraction and David Aja. The series currently has no release date.
