Hawkeye writer Tanner Bean revealed there was an Ant-Man Easter egg that didn't make the final cut.

On Twitter, Bean revealed that for Hawkeye's black-market auction, he rewatched the final battle in Avengers: Endgame to think of artifacts that could be found in the rubble of the Avengers base. "My idea: the 'La Cucaracha' – playing steering wheel horn from Luis' van. (Hey, they can't all be winners)," he joked.

Marvel fans will recognize Luis' van from both Ant-Man and its sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp. The vehicle was used for Luis' criminal enterprises but became more significant when it was kitted out with a Quantum Tunnel. Scott used the van to venture into the Quantum Realm, where he got trapped after the snap dusted Hope van Dyne, Janet van Dyne and Hank Pym.

Luis' van was destroyed by Thanos during the final battle of Endgame, so its steering wheel could've been a great addition to the auction of artifacts found in the Avengers Compound rubble. However, while the "La Cucaracha" Easter egg didn't come to fruition, a different Ant-Man nod featured in Episode 3 in the form of a Pym Particle arrow. When the Tracksuit Mafia drove towards Clint Barton and Kate Bishop, Clint shot a Pym arrow at Kate's arrow, which multiplied it in size, and destroyed their vehicle. Episode 1 also presented a theatrical version of Ant-Man in Rogers the Musical, which hilariously annoyed Clint.

In Episode 1 of Hawkeye, Kate followed her mother's mysterious new fiancé into a basement and discovered a black-market auction. There, bidders fought for the suit and sword of international assassin Ronin. "The Ronin brought a brutal form of justice to his victims, and his identity continues to remain a mystery to this very day," an auctioneer explained.

Hawkeye took on the mantle of Ronin following the events of the snap, in which his entire family was dusted. Ronin went on a rampage, killing criminals who he believed did not deserve to survive. Kate stole the Ronin outfit, leaving Clint with the responsibility to protect both of them from those that wanted revenge.

The first three episodes of Hawkeye are streaming now on Disney+.
