WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Haunting of Bly Manor, streaming now on Netflix.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is full of Easter eggs, some of which develop the story and build out the world of the Netflix series. Others are production based, and while they do not directly impact the story itself, they add a level of fan engagement. It was previously pointed out that The Room's Greg Sestero made a cameo appearance as the fiancé in the pilot and final episode of the series. His bride, who's an adult Flora, also brings with her a surprise connection to the series. Christie Burke, the actress who plays the bride, was in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 as a grown Renesmee.

It seems that Burke has a particular talent in portraying adult versions of young girls in popular fantasy and horror series. Fans may be forgiven for not immediately making the connection when she appeared on the show. Most Twilight fans associate Renesmee with younger actress Mackenzie Foy, who portrayed the human/vampire hybrid child of Edward and Bella. However, Burke stepped in during a key scene in the final film. To assure fans that the Cullen clan would live happily ever after after, there was a scene of one of Alice's visions of the future.

In the vision, Alice sees Renesmee matured into a young woman, played by Burke. She is alongside her former protector turned life partner Jacob Black, as well as her parents. The other three have not aged thanks to their werewolf and vampire powers. In order to show Renesmee's future, an older actress was required to step in as an appropriate love interest. Burke has no lines in her Twilight appearance, but what she represents speaks volumes to the fate of the series' beloved characters and serves as closure for the vampire franchise.

Similarly, Burke shows up as an adult version of a young character to show the audience that there exists a happily ever after in The Haunting of Bly Manor. Despite the horrors and trials of her youth, Flora grew up into a fine, well adjusted and happy woman. She found a life of love and joy, as well as someone to share that with. Burke certainly has a particular niche, and it makes for a neat Easter egg for Twilight fans who enjoy The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Streaming now on Netflix, The Haunting of Bly Manor stars Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Amelia Eve, T'Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli, Tahirah Sharif, Amelie Bea Smith, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Henry Thomas, with Kate Siegel, Katie Parker, Alex Essoe and Matthew Holness.
