Hasbro is going retro with its newest toy line of Power Rangers. Similar to the original figurines, the "Retro-Morphin" figures will be able to transition from Ranger to civilian form at the push of a button.
GameSpot shared a first look at the "Retro-Morphin" figures, including photos of Jason Scott/MMPR Red, Zack Taylor/MMPR Black, Billy Cranston/MMPR Blue and Kimberly Hart/MMPR Pink. Each figure also comes with a corresponding Ranger weapon and Blade Blaster. The figurines are currently available for pre-order at Walmart for $10 per figure.
The latest figurine news arrived as part of Hasbro's PulseCon event, during a Power Rangers themed panel. Other Power Rangers figures were also revealed, including new additions to the Lightning Collection. Power Rangers: Dino Furypremiered its first trailer, and current creators of Power Rangers: Beast Morphers shared an exclusive clip from the upcoming "Grid Connection" episode.
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers premiered in 1993 and took the world by storm. The Power Rangers franchise continues to last to this day, with several television shows and films based on the property. BOOM! Studios also produced a contemporary Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series that has led to several spinoffs of its own. Hasbro acquired the Power Rangers franchise in May 2018.
