Toy collectors can rejoice at the opportunity to get their heads scanned onto a customized Power Rangers, Star Wars, Ghostbusters or Marvel action figure thanks to the Hasbro Selfie Series.

The company behind these hugely successful toy licenses has partnered with Formlabs to allow collectors aged 16 and older in the United States to scan and 3D print their head and apply it to a fully poseable, detailed action figure. According to Hasbro's press release, “The process is simple – fans download the Hasbro Pulse mobile app (16+) available on Android and iOS, log into their Hasbro Selfie Series account, scan their face, customize their character and hairstyle, then sit back and wait for their custom action figure to arrive at their doorstep."

The licensed figures that collectors can select for customization include Marvel's Black Panther, Star Wars' Mandalorian Warrior, Power Rangers' Red Ranger or Blue Ranger, Ghostbusters' Male Rookie or Female Rookie and more. For anyone concerned about the companies selling and sharing their likeness, do not fear. "The scan will be stored only for 60 days from ship date at which point it is deleted," said Hasbro spokesperson Meredith Chiricosta. "It is not used by Hasbro in any way except for if a replacement needs to be issued within the 60-day window from ship date. The scan will not be used for advertising or marketing or sold to anyone."

Selected fans attending the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con will get their opportunity for the first facial scans and customization when the Hasbro Selfie Series begins shipping in the fall. Non-SDCC attendees can sign up for the mailing list on Hasbro Pulse's website when the line is made available. Unfortunately for collectors abroad, however, the Hasbro Selfie Series will only be made available in the U.S., and there are no plans for expansion at the moment.

Hasbro has been known to make customized action figures of the people working behind the scenes on some of these popular franchises. The company previously immortalized the head of The Mandalorian creator and co-showrunner, Jon Favreau, onto a Mandalorian body as part of the Star Wars: The Black Series line. Additionally, Star Wars creator George Lucas's head was put onto a Stormtrooper body in the same line.

Each figure in the Hasbro Selfie Series will be $59.99 plus tax and will be launched on Hasbro Pulse this fall.
