For the most part, being a fan of something and becoming a part of its community is a relatively positive thing. People get to meet like-minded individuals who share the same passions that they do and discuss a series that means a lot to them. It's incredibly common for fans to get attached to their favorite characters and are inspired by them, opting to create their own art, videos, or drabbles to share with the community.

These works typically go on to inspire other creators to make fan content of their own, and communities continue to grow from there. While it would be wonderful if every aspect of being a fan of something was positive, like everything else, it comes with its downsides. In particular, being a Miraculous Ladybug fan comes with a lot of harsh realities.

9 Fans May Have Watched The Show Entirely Out Of Order

It's actually incredibly easy to end up watching the entirety of Miraculous Ladybug completely out of order, depending on where fans are choosing to watch it. If fans simply follow the listed order on services like Disney+ and Netflix, they may end up incredibly confused regarding the timeline of certain events.

Many streaming services that offer Miraculous choose to list the episodes in the order that they were originally aired, but the original air date is completely wrong. In order to ensure that fans are watching Miraculous Ladybug in the correct order, they instead have to look up and go by the show's production order.

8 People Unfairly Judge Children's Shows Like Miraculous Because Of Their Ratings

It's common for people to unfairly judge children's shows because of their ratings. This particular point isn't specific to Miraculous; it's a harsh reality for anyone who enjoys television primarily geared towards children.

Whether it's Miraculous, My Little Pony, or something else, many people are quick to judge fans of children's media. They refuse to either give it a chance or even respect that others have different tastes than them. In reality, most children's media contains adult themes or moments that older fans can enjoy in addition to the younger audiences.

7 Development Can Be Thrown Out, Including Entire Character Arcs

It can be hard to become invested in characters and their development whenever shows have a history of beginning to develop characters, but then not following through. The biggest offender of this within Miraculous, by far, is Chloe's character.

Chloe starts out as a typical villain, but she begins to see the making of a powerful redemption arc in the second season. However, the writers decide to completely backtrack on this and instead revert her to how she was at the start of Miraculous.

6 The Early Episodes Can Feel Like A Drag To Rewatch

Stormy Weather from Miraculous Ladybug.

One of the things that fans typically end up doing while waiting for new content within their favorite series to release is to rewatch what's already there. In many cases, this can be a great way to catch onto little significant moments that only make sense after events later down the line have happened.

However, the first season of Miraculous Ladybug feels more like a villain-of-the-week show where not much carries over between episodes. This is great for new viewers jumping in late, but it doesn't exactly make for a fun experience when longtime fans are trying to rewatch the series.

5 The "Will They/Won't They" Between Marinette & Adrien Gets Old Without Development

For as long as Miraculous has been around, fans have felt as if Marinette and Adrien are the romantic endgame for the series and wondered just when advancements will be made in that department. Sadly, it never feels like any real progress is made.

Whenever events take place that seem like they should move the relationship forwards, they don't stick and feel permanent in later Miraculous episodes. Either that happens, or they're reversed entirely, either by time powers or Ladybug's Lucky Charm.

4 Unique Transformations Are Introduced, But Then Hardly Ever Utilized

Both Ladybug and Cat Noir have access to a variety of alternate forms that give them situational power-ups to help them out. One allows them to breathe underwater and swim faster, another that gives them mastery over ice-skating and resistance to the cold, and one even that lets them breathe in outer space.

Ladybug and Cat Noir's transformations are done using special versions of the macaroons and cheese that the Kwamis are typically fed in order to regain their power. However, they're hardly ever seen after their first appearance, which is an incredible shame given how well-designed their alternate looks are.

3 Some Fans Become Incredibly Defensive Over Their Preferred Pairing

Miraculous is a series that puts a heavy focus on its romantic elements, even if the characters aren't romantically paired up. It's made apparent to many viewers that Marinette and Adrien, in some form, are going to end up as the main endgame couple.

However, Miraculous fans can actually get incredibly heated as to which version of the pairing they prefer, going as far as to attack others who don't agree or prefer a different version. The most ridiculous part of it all is that, at the end of the day, it's still the same two characters — just different facets of their identities.

2 Viewers Watch As Marinette's Crush Spirals From Cute To Creepy & Obsessive

Marinette knows Adrien's schedule in Miraculous Ladybug.

At the beginning of Miraculous, Marinette's crush on Adrien comes across as cute and is relatable for any teenage girls watching who have ever felt awkward or unable to keep it together around their crush. However, as the series progresses, it feels as if the writers forget the line between cute and downright creepy.

Marinette abuses her powers as Ladybug to keep other girls away from Adrien or make them look bad, knows Adrien's entire personal schedule down to every hour of the day, and she even breaks into his room as Ladybug. While the intention is just to deliver a present, she overstays her welcome and makes herself a little too comfortable.

1 There Are Some Scenes That Fans Would Rather Forget About

The Adrien Statue scene in Miraculous Ladybug.

There are scenes within almost any show that fans would prefer to forget about, but Miraculous has an especially creepy scene involving Marinette and Adrien. Marinette is fawning over what she believes to be a statue of Adrien, going on a long tangent about her admiration for him before leaning in to try to kiss him.

Since it's actually Adrien, not a statue, he immediately leaps back, clearly incredibly uncomfortable with how the situation unfolded. It doesn't reflect well on Marinette's character, and it's just an unsettling scene to have to rewatch.
