The first trailer for Fantastic Friends with James and Oliver Phelps takes the Weasley twins around the world.

As reported by Variety, Fantastic Friends is "part adventure-travel series, part magic-infused challenge show and part a celebration of friendship." The show follows the Phelps twins, best known for playing Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter films, as they explore various destinations across the globe with their famous friends acting as tour guides, as well as "engaging in a series of magic-themed challenges and competitions." The first batch of episodes will see the twins visit Saint Lucia, Iceland, Dubai, Poland, Austria and Ireland and feature Maisie Williams, Sophie Skelton, Haley Joel Osment and the Phelps' fellow Harry Potter actors Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) and Luke Youngblood (Lee Jordan).

Fantastic Friends is produced and directed by Daniel Sharp, who previously worked on docu-series like Top Gear America and Vikings: Rise and Fall. "It has been great to be able to travel again and to create this fun, daring and innovative series," Sharp said in a statement. "It was a real pleasure to be joined by James and Oliver, who not only starred in the series but worked as hands-on execs throughout, bringing on guests as we went along. Having Martin Blencowe, the founder of Cameo, as an EP was a huge plus as he is just brilliant at putting the right talented people together."

The series will be distributed internationally by Off the Fence Productions, which specializes in creating non-fiction content. Stefanie Fischer, managing director of sales at OTF, said "Daniel and the team at Dash Pictures have great access to some of the world’s best talent and Oliver, James and friends don’t disappoint. With their global and loyal fan base, we knew we’d be able to attract an array of broadcasters and platforms. The series is a fun, fresh and original travel series, with stunning locations to go alongside it."

In addition to playing the mischievous Weasley twins across all eight Harry Potter movies (and two video games), the Phelps brothers have acted together in Kingdom, Danny and the Human Zoo and Last Night in Soho. The pair have also hosted a podcast together, Normal Not Normal, since 2017, in which they interview their fellow stars and discuss what "normal" means to them.

Fantastic Friends with James and Oliver Phelps will release in July on HBO Max.
