The Weasleys, as Harry's chosen family, are important characters in the Harry Potter franchise. Each member of the family has their own strengths and weaknesses, and they are a beloved aspect of the epic franchise; however, some characters are cooler than others. While all these characters have proven themselves to be brave, loved and virtues, some are more praised by wizarding society than others.

9) Arthur Weasley

Arthur Weasley, the family patriarch, has to rank dead last based on coolness. He is well meaning and one of the great humanitarians of the series, but he also collects plugs and can not read muggle money, which doesn't seem like it should be much of a problem. He gets too giddy around anything muggle related, and he often loses his composure as a result, which can be endearing but also embarrassing.

8) Percy Weasley

Prefect Percy Weasley and Harry Potter In The Sorcerer's Stone

Percy Weasley is a self-important, insufferable suck-up. He is mercilessly teased by his siblings for his eagerness, his commitment to rules and his pompous behavior. However, that never stops him from living his life as he wants to. Despite this, confidence can be plus, and his job with the Ministry of Magic offers plenty of high society perks, even though it came at the cost of betraying his family.

7) Molly Weasley

Molly Weasley is the family matriarch and an all around wonderful mother, building an inviting home for her family and their friends. She also killed Bellatrix Lestrange, which is one of the most metal moments in the franchise. While she does admit in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire that she used to sneak out of the Gryffindor dormitory after hours and was a bit of a rebel, she is also high strung, often losing her temper when someone disagrees with her.

6) Ron Weasley

Ron Weasley is Harry Potter's best friend, and he was integral to the destruction of Voldemort's horcruxes. He is a fan favorite, but he is not necessarily the coolest character, especially compared to his siblings later down the list. He is absolutely terrible with women, failing to be smooth or charming intentionally despite having moments of sweetness. For instance, when asking Fleur Delacour to the Yule Ball, he yells at her before fleeing in panic, not even waiting for her response. In his fifth year, he does become something of a quidditch hero, so that regains him so cool points.

5) Charlie Weasley

Harry Potter Dragon

Fans do not get much access to the second oldest Weasley, but what is revealed is that he is a cool dude with a dangerous yet incredible job, training dragons in Romania. Harry and audiences meet him in Goblet of Fire when he joins the family at the Quidditch World Cup, and he shows up again when he delivers dragons to Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament. The limited description offered in the books mentions a strong build and scars, which are the results of his profession. He is also one of the people to help Norbert, a baby dragon, leave Hogwarts, proving why he was a Gryffindor years ago. It's a shame he is so absent from the books and entirely missing in the films.

4/3) Fred and George Weasley

Fred and George Weasley in Harry Potter

There is no separating the Weasley twins as their social standings are completely intertwined. The twins are famous pranksters with a reputation for throwing raging parties in the Gryffindor common room. However, as practical jokesters, they can get carried away too much. For instance, they give a dieting Dudley a ton-tongue toffee that causes him serious emotional damage. While Dudley is a spoiled brat, that doesn't excuse the twins preying on someone weaker than them since Dudley can't use magic. They also laugh at the trauma they inflict on him. With that in mind, there is no denying that their exit from Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the stuff of legends.

2) Ginny Weasley

Ginny Weasley is the second coolest in the family as well as being the youngest. She is kept out of the top spot because she starts the series so wholly enamored with Harry that it makes her bashful and clumsy. Although, as she grows up and spends more time at Hogwarts, she becomes popular. She has a couple of boyfriends and friends outside of Gryffindor, showing that she is an overall likeable person.  She also ends up becoming a star quidditch player and is infamous for her jinxing ability. Her bat-bogey hex, in particular, is well known and feared by bullies. She uses her status and skills to protect those in need, always punching up.

1) Bill Weasley

Harry says it best when he first meets the oldest Weasley sibling in Goblet of Fire, "There was no other word for [Bill] - cool". He is a curse-breaker for Gringotts bank, which leads him to travel the world to deal with exciting and dangerous tasks. He is incredibly handsome and marries the series's most beautiful woman, Fleur. On top of that, he's the survivor of a werewolf attack, making it out with his iconic scars. Bill is the coolest in the Weasley family, and even the titular character knows this well.
