Daniel Radcliffe revealed in a new interview he once made a Harry Potter fan faint just by speaking to her.

"I was visiting a Japanese school for a publicity thing … and I literally brushed a young girl [on the arm] while I was walking past her and I said, 'Oh, I'm so sorry.’ And boom! Fainted," Radcliffe recalled during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show. "I had brushed her and spoken to her and [it] was too much. And she fainted."

The Harry Potter alum added that, despite the encounter being strange, he had to take a moment to enjoy it. "Because that doesn't last forever," Radcliffe continued. "Like, when you have a moment like that, you've kind of got to take in how weird and cool that is."

In addition to discussing the Harry Potter franchise's loyal and fervent fanbase, Radcliffe recently revealed that 2007's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is his favorite entry. "I was sort of a little bit older at that point, so I was kind of able to appreciate that more," the actor said at the time. While Radcliffe admitted fans don't usually cite Order of the Phoenix as a favorite, he most remembers working alongside Oscar-winner Gary Oldman, who starred as Harry's godfather Sirius Black.

Radcliffe will next commemorate the release of the first Harry Potter film -- 2001's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone -- by reuniting with onscreen besties Emma Watson and Rupert Grint during HBO Max's Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts special. The trio will be joined by Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, Mark Williams, Evanna Lynch, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Ian Hart, James Phelps and Oliver Phelps.

It was previously confirmed that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling will not be part of the reunion special. While HBO Max hasn't commented on her absence, the author has faced a good amount of backlash for comments about the trans community in recent years.

Radcliffe, Grint, Eddie Redmayne and Miriam Margoyles were among the Wizarding World actors to condemn Rowling's comments. At the time, Radcliffe said in a statement, "Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo [Rowling] or I."

Return to Hogwarts premieres on HBO Max on Jan. 1, 2022. All eight Harry Potter films are also available to stream now on HBO Max.
