If you're a fan of "Harry Potter," you're probably familiar with Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which is situated at an unknown and Unplottable location in Scotland. If you dive a little deeper, you might even be familiar with Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and Durmstrang Institute, which reside in France and Bulgaria, as both schools participated in the Triwizard Tournament in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." Now, get ready for Ilvermorny, Mahoutokoro, Uagadou and Castelobruxo.

Author J.K. Rowling unveiled the four new international wizarding schools on Pottermore and offered a few details about each school, with more information yet to come. According to her new map, Ilvermorny is situated somewhere in northeastern North America; Mahoutokoro resides in Japan; Uagadou is in Africa; and Castelobruxo belongs to Brazil.

Ilvermorny

Ilvermorny doesn't have a bio quite yet -- the website promises it's "Coming Soon" -- but here's what we know based on the information we do have: it's pronounced "Ill - ver - morn - ee" and it exists somewhere in the northeastern quadrant of North America. That doesn't exactly narrow things down, as the image spans from New York state into Canada, but it's enough to give fans an idea of where the North American wizarding school can be found.

Mahoutokoro

A small school, Mahoutokoro was built on the topmost point of the Volcanic island of Minami Iwo Jima. The students, who are accepted at the age of seven, receive enchanted pink robes that grow with them and change color as their learning increases, becoming gold if the student achieves top marks. White robes are the mark of a Dark wizard, and to "turn white" is considered a disgrace. Legend has it Quidditch was brought to the school "by a band of foolhardy Hogwarts students who were blown off course during an attempt to circumnavigate the globe on wholly inadequate broomsticks," and the school has earned an outstanding reputation for the sport ever since.

Uagadou

Uagadou is Africa's most reputable wizarding school and distinguishes itself from a number of other smaller wizarding school due to the fact it has educated the continent's young wizards for over a thousand years. Uagadou graduates are known for their expertise in Astronomy, Alchemy and Self-Transfiguration. Though they implement wands on occasion, Uagadou cast spells largely through hand gestures. Students are accepted to Uagadou through Dream Messengers, which are sent sent by the current headmaster or headmistress. The school is described as dwelling "on a stunning edifice carved out of the mountainside and shrouded in mist, so that it sometimes appears simply to float in mid-air."

Castelobruxo

Though hidden deep inside a Brazilian rain forest, Castelobruxo accepts students from all over South America. The school itself "is an imposing square edifice of golden rock" and is protected by the Caipora, "small and furry spirit-beings who are extraordinarily mischievous and tricky, and who emerge under cover of night to watch over the students and the creatures who live in the forest." Castelobruxo students are particularly expedient in Herbology and Magizoology, and students from Europe attend exchange programs there in order to learn more about the magical flora and fauna of South America.
