Since the explosive finale of The CW's hit "The Flash," fans have been wondering exactly how the series will proceed in Season 2. But as of today, we at least know one face who will be along for the ride: Harrison Wells.
The identity used by Flash arch nemesis Professor Zoom for the greater part of Season 1 may have seemingly been killed off at the end of last year, but according to a TV Line interview with executive producer Gabrielle Stanton, he'll be back in one way or another.
"Harrison Wells will be back, but he's going to be a very different Harrison Wells than we've seen before...We've got other worlds. We've got other timelines. All I'm going to say is he's from one of those places," the EP explained.
The story also teased a number of new developments for Season 2 including a new love interest for Barry Allen in the form of police officer Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) and an expanded role for Ronnie Raymond in the life of his now wife Caitlin Snow. Meanwhile, Stanton teased that Cisco Ramon's path to becoming the hero known as Vibe will take "a slower burn."
How will Harrison Wells fit into a new reality that involves Jay Garrick of Earth-2? Answers will only arrive in full when "The Flash" returns on October 6 on The CW.
