Back in 2015, Harrison Ford's iconic Star Wars character, Han Solo, died at the hands of his son, Kylo Ren. In 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the character returns in a breakthrough moment for his son. But apparently, even Harrison Ford was confused on the logistics of how that happened.

The actor told USA Today, "When JJ asked me to do it, I said, 'Are you kidding? I'm dead!" Ford added, "He said 'Sorta dead. You can do this.' He hadn't written anything at that time. But he said, 'This is going to be great.' So I said okay. If JJ asked you to do something, you'd probably do it too. He's a very persuasive guy."

Ford elaborated on the importance of his cameo in the film, saying, "It was a useful addition to the story and the continuing development of Adam Driver's character."

However, when it comes to just how Solo appeared, Ford has no idea. Though, for fans hoping that a non Force user like Solo could somehow become a Force ghost, the actor had this to say: "A Force ghost? I don't know what a Force ghost is." Ford then allegedly whispered, "Don't tell anyone. I'm not talking loud enough for your recorder. I have no (expletive) idea what a Force ghost is. And I don't care!"

Directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong' o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Keri Russell, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. The film is now in theaters.
