For years, rumors have posited that Harrison Ford would pass his fedora to Chris Pratt in Indiana Jones 5. Although franchise director Steven Spielberg claimed he would never recast the role of the archeologist adventurer, the rumor has lived on. However, Ford has now addressed the possibility of Pratt appearing at all in the film, and it doesn't sound very likely that the Guardians of the Galaxy star will share screen time with the veteran actor any time soon.Variety interviewed Ford on the red carpet of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Honors, asking him if Pratt would join the franchise. Ford chuckled and said, "I think it's him or me."RELATED: Disney Delays Indiana Jones 5 Release to 2021

The interviewer also asked about the status of Indiana Jones 5. Ford shared that there is a script for the movie that everyone involved is excited about, although Ford wasn't sure when filming would begin.

Before 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released, there was rampant speculation that Shia LaBeouf, who played Mutt Williams opposite Ford in the film, was being groomed to take over the franchise. After the disappointing response to that film, though, LaBeouf likely won't return in any future sequels.
