Punchline made her comic debut earlier this year in Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen #3, kicking off her reign as the Joker's new girlfriend. During the FanDome panel for the Harley Quinn show, the producers revealed that if the show is picked up for Season 3, Punchline isn't a character they're interested in bringing into the fold just yet.

At FanDome, a fan asked, "What’s the possibility of including Punchline in a future season, if the show returns for a third season?" Jennifer Coyle, a Supervising Producer for the show responded, "I personally don’t know about Punchline, whether she should be involved or not. I just met the lady."

Justin Halpern, a writer and Executive Producer for the show added, "We wanna focus on Harley and Ivy’s relationship and I’m less personally interested in if the Joker gets a new girlfriend than I am in ‘let’s explore this relationship that we’ve spent two seasons building.'"

DC Universe's Harley Quinn stars Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Diedrich Bader, Alan Tudyk, Rahul Kohli, Christopher Meloni, Tony Hale, Ron Funches, Wanda Sykes, Natalie Morales, Jim Rash, Giancarlo Esposito, Jason Alexander and J.B. Smoove. Both seasons of the show are available to stream on HBO Max.
