In advance of the show's upcoming third season, HBO Max has released a new trailer for Harley Quinn.

The trailer for Harley Quinn, which you can see below, introduces Harvey Guillén as Dick Grayson/Nightwing. In the trailer, Poison Ivy reveals that she wants to terraform Gotham City, essentially bringing the city back to nature. However, this seems to cause some tension between Ivy and Harley, with the latter seemingly becoming more reluctant to aid the former as the season goes on. Additionally, it's revealed the Joker is going to run for mayor of Gotham City, as he's hoping to become someone that his "family can be proud of."

In addition to the plot details revealed in this trailer, earlier promotional material for Harley Quinn Season 3 confirmed that the Court of Owls would play a role in the show. It's not clear at this time just why, but that footage shows Harley and Ivy wearing owl masks and attending an event held by the villainous Batman organization that seems to be an orgy. James Gunn, who helmed The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, will cameo as himself. The in-universe reason is that he's working on a project centered on Thomas Wayne, the father of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Created by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey, Harley Quinn originally debuted in 2019 on DC Universe, which was home to a number of original streaming shows based on the titular comic book publisher's characters. However, after that platform was overhauled and relaunched as the comics-centric DC Universe Infinite, the raunchy animated comedy made its way to HBO Max. Earlier this year, Warner Bros. officially gave a series order to Noonan's, a spinoff centered on Chuck Brown/Kite Man and Golden Glider in which they own the titular seedy bar.
