In a special one-shot collecting variant cover artwork of Harley Quinn, the clown princess reveals one of her personal favorites.

With added dialogue by Dave Wielgosz and illustrations by Riley Rossmo, Harley Quinn: Uncovered #1 features numerous variant covers from the Harley Quinn series that launched as part of DC's Infinite Frontier era in March 2021. In a preview of the one-shot, the first variant given the spotlight is artist Kael Ngu's from Harley Quinn #7, showing a wanted poster with a recording included of Harley swinging a baseball bat at someone. Harley comments on Ngu's work, saying, "Of all the wanted posters I have been a part of in my life? This is by far the second- or third-most flattering."

Harley Quinn: Uncovered is releasing in celebration of the series and Harley Quinn #25, set to go on sale Dec. 27. Each issue of the current Harley Quinn title has sported at least one variant cover, many of which have been done by artist Derrick Chew, who illustrated variants for every issue between Harley Quinn #1 and #21. Another artist to mention is Ryan Sook, who has created homage variants for Harley Quinn's "Task Force XX" arc and Uncovered, the latter swapping Harley into George Pérez's iconic cover for Crisis on Infinite Earths #7, seen in the preview.

Harley Quinn Gets a New Creative Team in 2023

Since Harley Quinn #1, Stephanie Phillips has been the main writer of the series and joined by artists like Rossmo, Matteo Lolli and others, but a new creative team will take over the title with the release of Harley Quinn #28: writer Tini Howard and artist Sweeney Boo. Phillips and Lolli's final Harley Quinn arc stretches between Issue #22 and #27, and sees Harley investigate her own murder while going up against the Harley Who Laughs. The new villain is a mashup of Harley and the Batman Who Laughs, a variant of Bruce Wayne from the Dark Multiverse that behaves more like the Joker.

Harley Quinn Writer Switches Over to Marvel for Cosmic Ghost Rider

After she departs Harley Quinn, Phillips is switching over to Marvel to write the first ongoing series for Cosmic Ghost Rider. The antihero was originally created by writer Donny Cates and artist Geoff Shaw in 2017's Thanos #13, and is a version of the Punisher after being given the powers of both Ghost Rider and the Silver Surfer. Announced in mid-November, the new Cosmic Ghost Rider title will be illustrated by Juann Cabal and release its first issue on April 1, 2023.

Along with a main cover by Jay Anacleto, variant covers for Harley Quinn: Uncovered #1 itself (not the variants contained within the issue) are contributed to by Sook and Adam Warren. The issue goes on sale Dec. 13 from DC Comics.
