A fan of HBO Max's Peacemaker and Harley Quinn series has combined the two worlds in creative fan art.Artist Joe Taft's fan art pulls inspiration from the animated DC Comics show, swapping out Batman in a moment where Harley stands beside the Dark Knight for John Cena's live-action antihero in cartoon form. The official Harley Quinn caught wind of the fan art, taking a playful shot at the DCEU's current star. While retweeting the fan art, the account wrote, "My new favorite hobby is standing next to self-absorbed men with crippling daddy issues."RELATED: Peacemaker Star Wants Bat-Mite, Matter-Eater Lad to Cameo in the DCEU Series

Most Batman fans know that Bruce Wayne became the famous Gotham City vigilante after waging a war on crime following his parents' murder. While the crack may be obvious with regards to the caped crusader, the line directly references Peacemaker's dynamic between Christopher Smith (John Cena) and his father Auggie (Robert Patrick), who is shown to be an adaptation of a DC Comics white supremacist, the White Dragon. Despite the cruelty that Auggie deals out to his son, the antihero has difficulty rejecting his father and still loves him.

Right now, Peacemaker is the main, exclusive superhero project releasing for HBO Max. The show fills in the Thursday void left by Young Justice: Phantoms, which has taken a break following the release of its thirteenth episode. Meanwhile, though Harley Quinn has a third season in the works, any official word on when the show might return remains under wraps.

During the virtual DC FanDome 2021 fan event, Harley Quinn unveiled voiced-over but unfinished animation for the upcoming season, including a full-color look at new attire for Harley and Poison Ivy. The footage also referenced Harley Quinn: The Animated Series - The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour, a comic book tie-in story that will bridge the gap between Seasons 2 and 3. Though Batman has appeared in both seasons of the animated series while it was still housed on DC Universe, Peacemaker has yet to make any appearances or earn a shoutout, unlike DCEU Batman actor Ben Affleck in the unfinished footage.

So far, Harley Quinn and Peacemaker's only DCEU interactions have happened in The Suicide Squad by James Gunn, portrayed by actor Margot Robbie and Cena, respectively. The Harley Quinn Twitter account also called out Peacemaker's arrest of Kite Man in the DCEU, who was Ivy's love interest in Harley Quinn before she eventually admitted her feelings for Harley.

Peacemaker is currently streaming on HBO Max and drops new episodes on Thursdays. Harley Quinn Season 3 has yet to receive an official release date.
