Harley Quinn is about to meet the Harley Who Laughs, amongst other versions of herself, in DC's upcoming Harley Quinn #25.

Revealed in DC's solicitations for December 2022, Harley Quinn #25 will see the titular antihero come face-to-face with the Harley Who Laughs, a twisted version of herself based on the popular Batman Who Laughs character. Written by Stephanie Phillips with art by Matteo Lolli, the synopsis for the issue reads, "There can be only one Harley Quinn…or, ya know, maybe like 100? The Multiverse is a strange place. Old Lady Harley, Harley Who Laughs, Harley who joined a bowling league in Indiana for the free chicken wings…we’ve got the whole gang together and we’re ready to put the fun in this Multiversal murder mystery, and maybe also cause more murder with a side of mayhem. Join the team for an epic 25th issue of Harley Quinn!"

Harley Quinn Is About to Meet the Harley Who Laughs

A variant cover created by Francesco Mattina shows a fresh look at the Harley Who Laughs wearing a similar dark metal visor as the Batman Who Laughs. Previous cover art created by Greg Horn for 2018's Dark Knights: Metal #6 has also shown a Batman Who Laughs version of Harley Quinn, while DC Collectibles released a Harley Who Laughs figure sculpted by Horn in 2019.

Created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, the Batman Who Laughs debuted in 2017's Dark Days: The Casting #1. The sinister version of the Dark Knight was formed when Earth-22's version of Bruce Wayne killed the Joker in an act of rage. Unbeknownst to Bruce at the time, a toxin within the Joker's heart was released and then transformed the fallen hero into a twisted, ultra-violent version of himself.

Harley Quinn Is Facing Death

While the exact reasoning as to how Harley finds herself lost in the DC Multiverse remains to be seen in the 25th issue, Harley will soon be responsible for solving her own murder in the upcoming Harley Quinn #22. Releasing Sept. 27 from Phillips and Lolli, the issue will see a deceased Harley Quinn try to figure out who killed her. The synopsis reads, "The Quinn is dead! Long live the Quinn! I get killed in this one…for real! Dead. Deceased. Former. Late. Pushing up daisies. Somebody needs to solve my murder, and since I don’t see Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot around, I guess that’ll have to be me. Though, since I’m dead…there are certain hurdles to overcome. The Harley-est, wildest arc starts right here…get ready for murder, Multiversal mischief, and more guest appearances, with Stephanie Phillips and new Harley Quinn artist Matteo Lolli!"

Harley Quinn #25 features cover art by Jonboy Meyers and additional variant cover art by Jenny Frison (1:25), Ejikure (1:50) and Chris Burnham (holiday variant cover). The issue goes on sale Dec. 27.
