Ever since her debut in Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, Harley Quinn has become one of the most popular characters in the DC Universe. A staple of Batman's rogues gallery, she has made several appearances in Batman movies and comics as a loyal henchman to The Joker, but has also branched out on her own as a member of various antihero teams like the Suicide Squad and the Birds of Prey. She is even the star of her own television series.

On top her roles in comics, films and TV shows, Harley has also been included in several video games. Here's a rundown of all of these major and minor video game appearances.

Harley Quinn attacks in Batman: The Animated Series

Harley's first major appearances in video game was in The Adventures of Batman and Robin, an action platformer based on the original animated series. Harley makes cameo appearances in the SNES and Sega CD versions of the game, but she's a playable mini-boss in the Sega Genesis version.

Two other DCAU-based games featured Harley. The Game Boy Color game Batman: Chaos in Gotham, which followed Batman rounding up villains after a massive breakout at Arkham, included her as a mini-boss. The second was Batman Vengeance, which saw Batman trying to solve the mystery of Joker's alleged death while battling other villains around Gotham City. Though you never fight Harley directly, she appears in a mini-boss fight near the end of the game before the final battle with Joker.

Batman Arkham Series

Harley Quinn has appeared in all four major installment of the Batman: Arkham series. Her backstory was briefly explored in Arkham Origins, showing that she was a doctor assigned to interview The Joker before falling in love with him. She played the role of Joker's loyal henchman in both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, and was also the star of the later game's DLC expansion "Harley Quinn's Revenge." After The Joker's death, she became a gang leader and tried to kill Batman in Arkham Knight. She became a playable character in the game's various DLC expansions.

Her next appearance in the Arkham universe will be in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, where she will team up with her fellow Suicide Squad members to take down the Justice League after they fall under Braniac's mind control.

Lego Series

Harley has made both major and minor appearances in the Lego Batman trilogy. She appeared as a mini-boss and unlockable character in both Lego Batman: The Videogame and Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes. Though she's not playable Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham's main story, she did make a cameo during a Nightwing-themed side quest and later becomes playable through DLC.

Outside of the Lego Batman trilogy, Harley was in Lego DC Super-Villains, where she played an important role in the battles against both the Syndicate and Darkseid. Following that, she was also playable in the crossover title Lego Dimensions as part of the "DC Team Pack."

Injustice Series

Harley Quinn is featured prominently in the Injustice games. She was an accomplice to The Joker's plan to trick Superman into killing Lois Lane and destroying Metropolis. Following his death, Harley tries to make it on her own as the leader of the Joker Clan, but eventually reforms her old ways and joins Batman's Insurgency in the original Injustice. She becomes a full superhero in Injustice 2 and joins in the fight against Braniac and the Society.

As a playable character, Harley is a "gadget" character that uses a variety of weapons like bombs, mallets and revolvers to take down opponents. With her multiple projectiles, she is mainly considered a zoner but one who is still strong up close.

DC Universe Online

The free-to-play MMO DC Universe Online features nearly every kind of DC hero and villain, including Harley Quinn. It allows players to create their own hero or villain and explore the DC universe while partaking in themed missions called "episodes" and battling other players.

In addition to being a playable in the Legends PvP mode, Harley appears in the game's various DLC episodes. Some of her most prominent roles were in "Episode 24: Harley's Heist," where she and the rest of the Gotham City Sirens team up to rob a hotel; and in "Episode 37: Birds of Prey," which saw the team take on Lex Luthor in a war-torn Metropolis.

Batman: The Enemy Within

Harley Quinn in Batman: The Telltale Series

A new kind of Harley Quinn appeared in Batman: The Enemy Within, the sequel to the Batman Telltale Series. Unlike in her original backstory, Harley was a former doctor who went crazy due to a mental illness that she inherited from her father. She joined a criminal organization called The Pact to steal a virus that could be used to cure her illness. During these events, she manipulated a former Arkham patient, "John Doe," who later develops a one-sided crush on her.
