A preview for Harley Quinn #6 reveals that Harley isn't overly fond of cats, though there is one she prefers.

Harley has had a number of pets (including cats) over the years, her two most famous being the hyena duo Bud and Lou. Her inner dialogue in the preview discusses how she finds cats uncomfortable to be around. Despite this feeling, she is overly grateful when Catwoman comes to her rescue on the streets of Gotham City.

This marks a relatively big change for Harley. In the Harley Quinn series from the New 52 into the DC Rebirth era, the clown princess adopted over fifty animals that were about to be euthanized at a pet adoption center since nobody was adopting them. Although, it was really more of a jail break than an adoption on Harley's part, being that the center wouldn't accept her application.

Posion Ivy then helped turn one of the upper floors of Harley's building in Coney Island into a park for these animals to play in. Some of these animals included cats, and the pets could be found stuck in the indoor trees. Despite this past as an animal and cat nurturer, Harley claims that she doesn't like cats all that much.

She clarifies that she doesn't hate cats, but has always found them to be unpleasant company that she isn't comfortable being around. She ponders her feeling on cats as she runs away from the Magistrate's peacekeepers in Gotham City. Harley believes that cats are standoffish, judgmental and spooky.

She then finds herself backed into a corner of a dead end alleyway. At the moment she is about to fight off the armed peacekeepers with nothing more than her baseball bat, Catwoman swoops in to save her. As Selina Kyle performs whip tricks and takes on all the peacekeepers, Harley fangirls out watching her, wishing to learn all of her talents, skills and fighting moves.

The last time Harley and Catwoman teamed up, it didn't end so well for Harley, who saw her throat sliced by Joker's new girlfriend, Punchline. According to solicitations, Selina will be around for this issue and Harley will appear in Catwoman #35, which releases on Sep. 21, 2021. • Yer pal Harley Quinn back again! Now, there might be a lot of new faces in Gotham, but it’s always nice to see an old friend. Okay, so Catwoman explicitly asked me not to call her my friend, but I know she secretly loves me under that tough, broody, leather-clad exterior. You’re not gonna wanna miss this one as we tangle with those boring Magistrate goons in Alleytown like a real dynamic duo! I smash a lot of stuff with my bat, and Selina does a bunch of flips and awesome things with her whip. She’s so cool.
