Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and Will Smith's Deadshot are the latest "Suicide Squad" members to land their own magazine covers.

Following in the footsteps of Jared Leto's Joker and Cara Delevingne's Enchantress, Robbie and Smith are the latest to land on covers for the next issue of "Empire."

Earlier this week, scans from the magazine's cover article surfaced online, revealing new photos of Leto's Joker, and some information about the interpersonal relationships between some of Task Force X's members; specifically, a "ragged love triangle" between Harley, the Joker and Deadshot.

"Harley is the biggest troublemaker, but Deadshot's actually eyeballing her a little bit," Smith told "Empire." "There's a pretty ragged romantic triangle there."

Director David Ayer expanded on that, offering insight into why the traditional villainous pairing will see some cracks in its maniacal veneer. "It's about [Harley] breaking free of The Joker and becoming this fully actualised, independent person," Ayer explained. "That really is a metaphor for everyone's journey here."

"Suicide Squad" opens on August 5, 2016.
