Just a day away from the official release of Birds of Prey, fans are as eager as ever to get their second live-action look at the infamous Harley Quinn. She's always been a fan favorite due to her bubbly personality, complete disregard for authority or morality, and, of course, her flashes of psychotic behavior that make her so entertaining on both page and screen.

Harley Quinn is well known for the variety of weapons she uses, including, but not limited to, her iconic baseball bat, mallet, and pistol. To go along with some of these more practical weapons, she also possesses a vast arsenal of hilarious and comic weapons that exude that Harley Quinn flavor. Ready to see what she cooks up in Birds of Prey, let's look at 10 of Harley Quinn's best and most comical gag items and weapons.

10 Dynamite

Even though dynamite is actually another practical weapon and one of Harley Quinn's primary explosive choices, she actually uses it in pretty hysterical ways. She'll often just heave a lit bundle of TNT towards her opponents like she grabbed a page out of Wile E. Coyote's handbook.

It's hard to believe we'll ever see her use a bundle of dynamite to take someone down in the movies, but we can always appreciate this tactic's value in the comics. Harley Quinn has never been known as an explosives specialist, but when she finds herself with some dynamite in her hand she's never one to waste it.

9 Jack-In-The-Box

Speaking of Harley Quinn's use of explosives, let's turn to some of her time in the iconic Batman video games. In Batman: Arkham City, one of her signature moves includes tossing a small red and black box towards her enemies. Once those enemies have been attracted to the box, it releases a clown-like dummy accompanied by a surprise explosion knocking everyone around it backward. The jack-in-the-box bomb is the perfect combination of realistic destruction and whimsical violence that define Harley Quinn's character.

8 Glove Gun

One of Harley Quinn's most comical weapons has to be her glove gun. No, it's not some kind of gun that fires gloves, but a gag gun that shoots out a literal boxing glove. It's obviously not a very effective weapon, but it definitely fits Harley Quinn's hysterical brand.

She doesn't actually use her glove gun on many occasions, but it's the perfect thing to take not just her opponents, but readers as well, by surprise. It's also safe to say it provides a nice laugh every once and a while to distract from otherwise intense situations. The glove gun is exactly the type of weapon you'd expect Harley Quinn to possess and it's a shame she doesn't put it to use more often.

7 Laughing Gas

Staying in the trend of true gag weapons, let's move on to Harley Quinn's use of laughing gas. Throughout the multiple occasions she's used laughing gas against her enemies, she's done so via a variety of methods. The most gag-like of those methods shows her tricking her target into making them believe it's some type of perfume. She's utilized laughing gas a few times both in the Batman video games as well as an animated series, almost always to get past someone. It fits perfectly, too, for a character who's laughing alongside the Joker almost half the time they're on page or screen.

6 Confetti Cannon

One weapon we can all look forward to seeing Harley Quinn put to use in Birds of Prey, according to the trailers, is her confetti cannon. No, the confetti cannon isn't some giant cannon she rolls out and blasts people with. Instead, it's pretty much just a shotgun that fires confetti at whoever's on the wrong end of the barrel.

The craziest part of the confetti canon is that it's actually fairly useful. While it's definitely supposed to be a whimsical gag gun, it does stun opponents more than you might expect. The film's inspiration for including the confetti cannon likely came from the Injustice video games, where Harley Quinn frequently puts it to good use.

5 Cupcake Grenade

Another weapon seen in the Injustice games is Harley Quinn's cupcake bomb. In short, it's literally just a regular grenade that resembles a cupcake. It explodes on contact with the opponent and is far more dangerous than it is delicious. There's not much sign of her using the cupcake bomb outside of these video games, but it could easily be incorporated into any storyline featuring her.

4 Scatapult

One of the most peculiar and just straight-up strangest things that Harley Quinn has ever used in her 32-year history has to be her scatapult. Before you have time to ask what a scatapult even is, it's essentially just a catapult she constructed to help dispose of the droppings from her various pets.

She first built it in Harley Quinn Vol. 2 #8, after the waste from her animals had become a problem. To no one's surprise, she found a way to turn it into an actual weapon as well using it to fling the droppings, or anything for that matter, at whatever unlucky soul was on the opposite end. Although it became somewhat of a regular in her arsenal, Harley Quinn certainly has plenty of other weapons she'd use before the disgusting scatapult.

3 Rubber Chicken

One of the more unique aspects of Harley Quinn's character is her ability to use practically anything to her advantage in a fight. We've already covered her using confetti, a boxing glove, and a grenade disguised as a cupcake to take down enemies, so why not include a rubber chicken as well? She's used plenty of unorthodox things to beat people down, but her rubber chicken might truly be the most random and most bizarre of them all. Considering how psychotic she can be, it's honestly not very surprising that she's capable of using something as harmless as rubber poultry in a violent way.

2 Pop Gun

We've finally arrived at some of Harley Quinn's most popular gag weapons. This one she definitely developed from spending her time with "Mistah J," as she so sweetly calls him. The pop gun is an extremely common gag weapon, typically firing a flag that says something like "bang" on it instead of any actual ammunition.

Both Harley Quinn and the Joker are frequent users of the pop gun, as they're always seemingly trying to lace their villainous activities with comedy. It is actually kind of funny watching people shake in terror with a gun pointed at them when in reality it's just one of Harley Quinn's pop guns. It's probably something most of her opponents despise, but for the purposes of this list, it works perfectly.

1 Oversized Mallet

We'll wrap things up with one of Harley Quinn's most iconic weapons. In pretty much every iteration of the character, there's always been a new version of the circusy oversized mallet, arguably her favorite weapon of them all.

While it's certainly less practical than say her baseball bat, it definitely adds a little more pizzazz and flair for a character who thrives on those two characteristics. The mallet is easily as symbolic of Harley Quinn as her pink and blue-dyed hair and bleached skin. It made its first on-screen appearance with her in Suicide Squad and has already been teased to be making a return in Birds of Prey. The best part of her mallet is that it's guaranteed to accompany her in pretty much any appearance she makes and it's as defining of an element for the Harley Quinn character as her relationship with the Joker.
