Harley Quinn is set to headline her own animated TV series on the Warner Bros./DC digital-first streaming platform. Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker (Powerless) will executive produce the half-hour adult animated comedy series.
Deadline reports WB is eyeing Margot Robbie to lend her voice to the title role of Harley Quinn, after her fan-favorite portrayal of the character in 2016's Suicide Squad. The site also lists Poison Ivy as appearing on the 26-episode series, along with other heroes and villains in the DC Universe.
The description for the animated series reads: "Harley Quinn who has finally broken things off once and for all with the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City." Harley Quinn would be the third series to join the DC digital subscription service, along with the live-action Titans and the third season of Young Justice.
Written and executive produced by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey for Warner Bros. Animation, the adult-oriented Harley Quinn animated series is slated for a 26-episode release on the DC digital platform.
